The 2013 MLA Conference will be held in St.Louis, October 2-4, 2013.

Now Open! Conference Proposals for MLA 2013

We are now accepting MLA 2013 Conference proposal submissions. We are looking forward to offering a full slate of programs at the October 2013 conference in St. Louis. The deadline for conference proposal submissions is March 15, 2013. 

Please use the electronic form below to submit the following types of proposals:
-breakout session
-table talk
-poster session
-pre-conference workshop
-social/networking event

The Conference Planning Committee is receiving proposals through March 15, 2013, and will distribute these proposals to the 2013 chairs of all Committees and Communities of Interest within MLA. The individual Committees and Communities of Interest will then choose presentations for sponsorship and/or co-sponsorship in ranked order by April 10, 2013.

Based on MLA unit preferences and on logistical factors at the conference site, the Conference Planning Committee will recommend the slate of selected presentations.  A tentative conference schedule will be available by May 31, 2013. 

PLEASE NOTE: All presenters are required to register for the conference.  No financial assistance is available to those working in libraries.
